Top 10 must watch tamil movies 2017


This Blog is about the top 10 list of must watch tamil movies 2017. Kollywood is very popular for its unique audience who has the craze of top star movies as well as support movies with good story even though it was made out of new faces and debut directors. That is what the reason every south indian film maker who need to testify their strenght of direction will like to do a film in Kollywood. Earlier more directors from Malayalam cinema such as Director Priyadharshan, Faazil, Siddique, Premam fame Alphonse Puthiran etc likes kollywood platform to prove their skills. Even directors like Bahubhali Fame Raja Mouli were very keen to make their move in kollywood. 

The List we have created here are our own selection from our prespective and we have left out some successful movies like Mersal, Vivegam, Bahubhali - The Conclusion etc as they comprosed of Big star value and technical team. The List has some fantastic movies which is based on Women power ( Aramm, Aruvi) gives you a view how tamil cinema has reached the next level of movie making. The movies like Maangaram, 8 Thotakkal, Theeran - Adigaram Ondru gives to edge of the seat experience in its screenplay. The movies like Korangu Bommai gives you the feel of being involved in the script and run behind them. So heres my List.



Aruvi - Tops the List has an interesting plot of a twenty-four-year-old girl named Aruvi is held by the cops for holding a TV studio under siege. Who is she and how did she end up in this situation?  Aruvi is a superbly written drama centred around a unique character that unfolds as a thriller, a black comedy, an awareness movie, and a tragedy.

Kurangu Bommai - The plot of the movie is about an honest driver tries to find the owner of a bag, supposedly containing money to fund the marriage of the man’s daughter, not realising that it was used by his own father to move a stolen idol.

Vikram Vedha - The Plot of the movie is about Vikram, a no-nonsense police officer, accompanied by Simon, his partner, is on the hunt to capture Vedha, a smuggler and a murderer. Vedha tries to change Vikram's life, which leads to a conflict.

Maanagaram - This movie is worth watching for fast movie action thriller lovers , the plot is about a man who comes to Chennai for an interview is beaten brutally. A gang of small-time criminals kidnaps the son of a local gangster from his school for a ransom.

Thuparivaalan - This movie is definitely joining the elite list of Myskkin's film and can easily claim to be one of the best crime thrillers in the recent times with a perfect screenplay. While investigating the killing of a dog, a detective uncovers a series of bizarre and seemingly unrelated crimes.

Aval -  Only horror movie in my list that deservea place as it has the best potential and hipe till the end of the end of the movie. A neurosurgeon and his wife, a newly-wed couple, move into a new neighborhood and soon realize that the house next door, inhabited by a little girl and her mother, is haunted.
